In the environmental field, including carbon neutrality, NSK is working to create environmentally friendly products through tribology and manufacturing technologies. Furthermore, we are promoting initiatives across the entire supply chain, from material procurement to production, logistics, use of NSK products by customers, and disposal, such as energy conservation, technological innovation, and the use of renewable energy to reduce GHG emissions like CO2 in the manufacturing process.
NSK is focusing on reducing emissions derived from raw materials such as steel and procured parts, which account for a large proportion of GHG emissions. In addition to thorough energy reduction through energy conservation, we share policies and measures regarding environmental initiatives with our suppliers to strengthen collaboration, and promote support for calculating emissions and data collection. We have strengthened these initiatives since fiscal 2022, and to date, the scope of collaboration has expanded to 58 companies, including suppliers with no capital relationship, covering approximately 80% on a procurement value basis for component parts. We believe that promoting these initiatives while striving for proactive information disclosure led to receiving this highest rating.

NSK positions "ESG Management" as one of its key management issues, aiming to be a company that contributes to the development of a sustainable society, is needed and trusted by society, and continues to be chosen. Going forward, we will aim to further enhance our corporate value through activities aimed at preserving the global environment.
