Purpose of the "Future of Caregiving Fund"
Approximately 25 years have passed since the Japanese Long-Term Care Insurance System was established. During this time, through various trials and errors, the industry has developed by diversifying care service providers and service content, enabling the Long-Term Care Insurance System to support the care of the elderly to a certain standard.
In preparation for the further increase in the aging population, there is a need to expand and improve services beyond the current framework of the Long-Term Care Insurance System. This includes securing human resources and financial resources for care service professionals, responding to requests that align with the values of the individuals (or their families), and supporting the elderly to live truly vibrant lives.
To achieve this, the caregiving industry must continue to develop with new ideas, not confined by existing frameworks.
This fund will provide grants to corporations active in the caregiving industry for activities that explore and realize ideal care and independent support for the elderly.
