Free Online Seminar on 'AI Use Cases in Agriculture'

Noujoujin Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Funabashi City, Chiba Prefecture; CEO: Yuichiro Kai), a company promoting the integration of agriculture and new technologies, has launched a call for organizations interested in hosting a free online seminar introducing real-world AI use cases by farmers. The seminar targets agricultural cooperatives (JA), local governments, extension organizations, agricultural corporations, and producer groups.

The use of generative AI in agriculture is already becoming commonplace. Practical applications such as daily work logging, drafting financial and subsidy documents, creating sales POP displays for farm stands, social media posting, and organizing management data are expanding—without requiring specialized equipment, these can be achieved using readily available general-purpose AI tools. This seminar will use actual farmer case studies as a starting point to explore with participants: "What applications are possible within our own communities or organizations?" and "What role should agricultural support providers play in the AI era?"

Application Period: June 27, 2026 – July 31, 2026

Background

Interest in generative AI is rapidly growing within the agricultural sector.

However, many still express uncertainty about where to begin, resulting in a significant gap between interest and actual implementation.

This stems from a common perception that "agriculture × AI" refers only to large-scale technologies such as pest image recognition, yield prediction, or produce sorting—applications focused on field operations.

In reality, generative AI can be adopted in more immediate, everyday tasks.

Areas such as daily work records, financial and subsidy application drafting, creating sales POPs for direct sales outlets, social media communication, and organizing management data can be accessed using everyday computers and smartphones.

In June 2026, our company delivered a lecture titled "AI Use Cases by Farmers" at a public training program for prefectural agricultural extension officers. During this session, there was strong interest in these practical, day-to-day AI applications by farmers. (※1)

Additionally, agricultural support providers, including extension officers, raised the question: "What role should regional support providers play in the AI era?"

This seminar will build on the feedback and insights gathered from that training, widely sharing practical generative AI case studies from farmers and exploring their potential applications at the community and organizational levels.

Seminar Features

Rather than simply explaining how to operate generative AI tools, this seminar will present real cases of farmers adopting AI to address specific challenges.

Starting from Real Farmer Examples We will introduce existing AI use cases in agriculture, such as work logging, accounting, sales POP creation, social media posting, and management data organization. Then, we will explore together with participants: "How can these be applied within our own organizations or regions?"

Sharing Perspectives on Engaging with Generative AI We will share the viewpoint of using generative AI not merely as a "tool to produce correct answers," but as a sparring partner to clarify on-site challenges and deepen inquiry.

Participants will learn how to adapt generic AI outputs into solutions tailored to their specific farm or regional contexts.

Content Adapted to Audience For agricultural support providers such as JA, local governments, and extension organizations, the seminar will focus on "the role of regional support providers in the AI era."

For producers, the seminar will emphasize practical examples that improve daily operations—such as daily reports, document creation, accounting, sales promotion, and information dissemination.
