## Norwegian Cruise Line Announces Grand Opening Date for 'Great Tide Waterpark' at Great Stirrup Cay

Norwegian Cruise Line® (NCL), a global innovator in cruise travel, has announced that the highly anticipated 'Great Tide Waterpark' at its private island, Great Stirrup Cay, in the Bahamas, will open on September 4, 2026. The opening will take place during a port call on a 7-day Caribbean cruise aboard the 'Norwegian Luna.'

Starting May 28, 2026, all guests calling at Great Stirrup Cay on or after September 4, 2026, can pre-purchase day passes* for the 'Great Tide Waterpark.' Advance reservations allow guests to smoothly plan their preferred island experience. Additionally, private cabanas accommodating up to six people can also be reserved. Cabana rentals include waterpark admission, providing a comfortable shaded space near the iconic 'Tidal Tower,' which features thrilling water slides. The waterpark will also introduce three new food trucks, offering a diverse gourmet experience in addition to 19 slides.

The Great Tide Waterpark spans approximately 24,300 square meters, providing a new family-oriented adventure experience with immersive attractions for guests of all generations. Standing in the center of the facility is the 52-meter tall 'Tidal Tower.' This iconic feature hosts the industry-first 'Breakwater Blasters' water coaster, where guests ride on inflatables to experience rapid drops and lifts. It also includes the 'Whitewater Dash' (two body slides), 'Rapid Mat Racers' (two mat slides), and the 'Tropic Storm' and 'Tropic Spiral' tube slides for thrilling turns and twists.

Other notable attractions include the 'Cliffside Cove' for the industry's first and highest cliff jump, the 'Great Slide' (the only 4-person body slide in the Caribbean), and the 'Fearless Falls' competitive slide. Underneath the activity area, guests can relax at the 'Grotto Bar' while watching the action on the rides.

For children, the facility offers 'Splash Cay,' an 836-square-meter kids' area. Those seeking more active experiences can head to the 'Wandering River,' which spans over 244 meters. This dynamic and energetic attraction represents an evolution of the traditional lazy river.

The waterpark is part of a large-scale renovation of Great Stirrup Cay. Recent additions include the expansive 'Great Life Lagoon' featuring beach-entry pools and swim-up bars, the adults-only 'Vibe Shore Club,' the family-focused 'Splash Harbor,' and a new tram system to enhance island navigation.

Great Stirrup Cay is accessible year-round through cruises departing from various Florida ports such as Miami, Jacksonville, Tampa, and Orlando (Port Canaveral), as well as New York and Philadelphia.

Guests wishing to celebrate the waterpark's grand opening can embark on the 7-day Caribbean cruise on the 'Norwegian Luna,' departing from Miami on August 29, 2026.
