"NOOG (Norg)," a golf brand with the concept of "updating golf," is pleased to announce the launch of a new "steel shaft model" for its popular one-length irons, in response to numerous requests from customers. This new option is particularly aimed at golfers with confidence in their strength and physique, or those with high head speeds.

Reservations for this model will begin on Saturday, April 4th, at 11:00 AM on the official NOOG online store.

What is NOOG (Norg)? "NOOG" is a new golf brand launched in 2024.

Based on the idea that "to have a more enjoyable time, logically, equipment could be simpler," NOOG pursues functions and designs that are not bound by conventional golf wisdom.

Its first product, the one-length iron, achieved a total support purchase amount of 18.6 million yen on the crowdfunding platform "Makuake" (the highest ever in the golf club category *according to our own research), generating a significant response.

Furthermore, it has garnered attention among golfers, being featured on the popular YouTube channel "UUUM GOLF," which has over 950,000 subscribers, and the terrestrial TV program "Takei So no Golf Bag Katsuidete Kudasai," leading to a waiting list of several months since last year.

Introduction of the "Steel Shaft Model" The "steel shaft model," newly added to the lineup, is a product designed to deliver NOOG's philosophy of "accurate distance control rather than maximizing distance" to a wider variety of swing types.

With conventional carbon shafts, many golfers with confidence in their physical strength or power expressed concerns such as "the head speed doesn't match, causing too much flex" or "I want a bit more feedback."

Therefore, we have introduced "steel shafts" as a new option. Steel shafts provide a clearer sensation of pressing the ball and feeling it on the face, improving operability for line control and distance management.

Golfers can now choose the optimal shaft for their muscle strength and swing type.

"Steel Shaft" Specifications Steel shafts often carry the image of being "heavy and tiring," but NOOG's steel shafts are set at a lighter 90g compared to typical steel shafts (usually around 100g).

While maintaining the ease of handling characteristic of one-length irons, they offer an exquisite "feel" that makes it easier to time the swing. For golfers who find their rhythm more stable with a bit more weight, this design allows for consistent swings and easier alignment with targets.

Five Features of NOOG's One-Length Irons <NOOG Features> ① One-length irons ② Soft iron forging ③ Joint development with a long-established manufacturer ④ Chic design unified in black ⑤ Clubs that don't require a trial swing

Many irons in the world focus on "hitting far," but what is truly required of an iron is "accurate distance control."

Being able to accurately control distances between 120 and 180 yards, where irons are typically used, leads to improved scores.

NOOG has redesigned the conventional wisdom of irons to create "one-length irons" that can most quickly guide golfers to the "accurate distance control" inherently required of irons.

① One-length irons Same length and weight for stable address

Normally, irons vary in length by club number, but NOOG offers all irons with the same length and weight, "one-length." NOOG has standardized the length to that of an 8-iron, which is frequently used.

With one-length irons, you don't need to change your address for each club number, making shots more stable. Once you learn the address for one club, you can achieve accurate distance control simply by changing the club number.

Differences in loft angle create differences in distance

In one-length irons, differences in loft angle create differences in distance, despite having the same length and weight.

Craftsmen from a club manufacturer with over 60 years of experience in producing irons have adjusted the optimal angle balance for each club number.

② Soft iron forging What is soft iron forging? It is a technique that strengthens and shapes metal by hammering and applying pressure. This increases the metal's density and removes impurities, resulting in less unwanted vibration in the head during impact and a heavy, soft feel.

The feel is completely different when hitting the sweet spot versus off-center, allowing for effective PDCA cycles in practice.

③ Joint development with a long-established manufacturer Joint development with "Kyoei Golf Industry Co., Ltd.," a long-established domestic club manufacturer

The manufacturing of NOOG's irons was jointly developed with "Kyoei Golf," a club manufacturer with over 60 years of history in Ichikawa Town, Hyogo Prefecture, known as the birthplace of domestic golf iron manufacturing.

"Kyoei Golf" handles products for numerous famous golf club manufacturers and produces high-quality goods through manual forging, grinding, and plating by skilled craftsmen.

They specialize particularly in the manufacturing of irons and wedges and have a long track record of producing clubs using difficult soft iron forging, including research and development of one-length irons.

④ Chic design unified in black Sophisticated atmosphere with all-black

The club head features a profound, calm matte black. The shaft and grip are also unified in all-black, creating a sophisticated impression.

Furthermore, taking advantage of the traditional drawback of black clubs where the color gradually peels off, NOOG has incorporated smoked copper plating inside, allowing users to enjoy the elegant copper color that emerges as the matte black changes over time.

(The progression of aging varies depending on usage frequency and environment.)

⑤ Clubs that don't require a trial swing NOOG's one-length irons are not sold in stores but exclusively online.

It is often thought that a "trial swing" is essential when buying golf clubs, but in many cases, clubs are chosen based on the golfer's physical condition at the time of the trial. This often leads to a discrepancy between the feel during the trial and during actual play, as the physical condition changes.

NOOG believes that by synchronizing oneself with the club, the club's effectiveness can be maximized. Instead of choosing a club to match your body, you adapt your body to the club. NOOG is changing even the conventional wisdom of club selection.
