Recruitment of FPs: Open to FPs outside the association

An increasing number of individuals seek unbiased, paid financial consulting out of concern that free consultations might lead to aggressive product sales pitches. To meet this growing demand, the Company is starting additional recruitment for independent FPs to join the platform.

We welcome applications and referrals from members of the Japan Financial Planners Advisors Association, as well as FPs operating independently outside of the organization.

We look forward to applications from FPs who wish to engage with clients in a new way, sharing their expertise through consulting services that are not contingent on the sales of financial products.

To maintain the matchmaking quality for each client, listing slots will be capped at 20 FPs. Applications will close once slots are filled. Interested parties are encouraged to inquire early.

Recruitment Overview

- Number of Openings: Limited to 20 (applications close once capacity is reached).

- Target Candidates: Financial Planners who can provide unbiased, paid consulting without selling financial products, or FPs looking to transition to advisory-fee models or discover new revenue streams.

US Conference Report Shared at Japan Financial Planners Advisors Association General Meeting

This recruitment drive coincides with announcements made at the Japan Financial Planners Advisors Association general meeting on May 28, 2026.

The meeting focused on reports by association members who attended the fee-only FP international conference (NAPFA) held in Minneapolis, US. Members shared key takeaways, fostering insightful discussions on the future of the FP industry in Japan.

Key discussions shared during the meeting:

- FP Consulting and "Investment Behavior Coaching" in the AI Era:

While AI services tailored for administrative tasks (such as minute-taking and CRM input) are expanding, areas irreplaceable by AI were highlighted. These include structuring complex cases, designing inheritance/business succession plans, providing emotional support, and offering investment behavior coaching.

- "Sudden Wealth" and Emotional Support:

Studies show that individuals who suddenly receive significant assets (through inheritance, retirement, or settlements) struggle to make objective decisions regardless of their knowledge. The discussion emphasized the critical role of FPs in providing emotional support.

- The "Era of Great Wealth Transfer" and Differing US-Japan Approaches:

With an estimated $124 trillion in global asset transfers expected by 2048, contrasting approaches were shared: Japan focuses on "tax reduction" due to its inheritance tax system, whereas the US focuses on "how to maximize the assets passed down."

- Institutionalization of US Independent FP Firms and Long-term Relationships:

M&As are active among US firms. Discussions highlighted institutionalized management models that reduce reliance on specific individuals, as well as client relationships spanning an average of over 17 years.
