Nihon Doro | Cooperates with the "28th Honjo Kodama Senbonzakura Marathon" as part of a comprehensive partnership agreement with Honjo City

Nihon Doro Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director and President: Toshiki Ishii) cooperated with the "28th Honjo Kodama Senbonzakura Marathon," held on Sunday, April 5, 2026, in Honjo City, Saitama Prefecture (Mayor: Shinkai Yoshida), with which the company signed a comprehensive partnership agreement in February 2026.

Mr. Tetsu Kin, a professional running coach who also serves as a development advisor for our company's "Kaitakihosho" pavement for walking and running, participated as a running advisor for this event in the half marathon [Kodama Senbonzakura Course]. Before the start, Mr. Kin encouraged approximately 1,000 runners, saying, "The temperature is rising, so make sure to hydrate thoroughly from the beginning. Let's run with a smile while enjoying the cherry blossoms," and they started all at once.

On the day of the event, approximately 1,800 runners participated across the Jogging Course (1.5km), Koyamagawakasenjiki Course (10km), and Kodama Senbonzakura Course (21.0975km). They enjoyed jogging and running in temperatures nearing 23℃, like a summer day.

The "comprehensive partnership agreement" signed between our company and Honjo City in February 2026 aims to improve citizen services and realize healthy living for citizens. This is achieved by promoting "co-creation" where our company and Honjo City mutually collaborate and effectively utilize each other's resources across various fields, including town development, health promotion, sports promotion, and sound youth development. Mr. Tetsu Kin's participation in this "28th Honjo Kodama Senbonzakura Marathon" marked the first concrete initiative after the signing of this agreement.
