NIJIN Corporation (operated by NIJIN Corporation, headquarters: Koto City, Tokyo; CEO: Taro Hoshino) will host an online learning session on Monday, July 13, 2026, from 17:00, for elementary to high school students to learn the rules of selling items on social media and flea market apps.

With the widespread use of social media and flea market apps, selling items has become increasingly accessible to children. However, many children list items without knowing what can and cannot be sold, unintentionally leading to illegal transactions.

This event is designed for elementary and middle school students interested in buying and selling, as well as high school students beginning part-time work or other income-generating activities. Participants will learn online about the rules of selling. Understanding these rules helps develop the ability to judge whether an item is safe to buy or sell. Interested children can also apply their knowledge by participating in the "Children's Market Experience" on August 12, where they can try selling items in person.

Why We Are Hosting This Event

The popularity of flea market apps has made selling items much more accessible to children. However, there are clear rules governing what can be sold. Listing items without understanding these rules can unintentionally lead to illegal transactions.

The NIJIN After-School Exploration School Togane Campus aims to provide children with a safe opportunity to experience selling by offering a structured learning session on sales rules.

Moreover, knowing the rules benefits not only sellers but also buyers. The ability to judge whether an item might be illegal is an essential component of financial literacy for children growing up in today’s digital age.

Event Features

① Learning through familiar platforms: Using popular flea market apps as examples, children will learn in an accessible way the rules they need to know when selling items.

② Develops judgment skills for both selling and buying: Understanding the rules helps participants not only when selling but also when purchasing, enabling them to identify potentially illegal items.

③ Leads to real-world experience on August 12: Children who are interested can apply what they’ve learned by participating in the "Children's Market Experience" on August 12, where they can try selling their own creations. This event is highly recommended for children who enjoy making things or creating games.

About NIJIN Academy Project School

An inquiry-based after-school program that allows elementary and middle school students from across Japan to participate online. It is a new learning space where children launch and execute real-world projects based on their interests and curiosities. Centered on "practical learning connected to society," "dialogue with professionals," and "child-led project advancement," it provides real-life experiences that cannot be gained through textbook-based learning. As a third learning space beyond school and home, it connects each child’s individuality and curiosity to social value.

Through the process of identifying challenges, planning, and creating solutions, children develop the ability to "think independently, take action, and deliver value to society." The program aims to create a future where every child can challenge themselves authentically, free from the constraints of traditional education.
