Nikon and Destination Canada Present Junji Takasago's Photo Exhibition and Talk Events to Celebrate New Guidebook

Nikon Imaging Japan Inc., a subsidiary of Nikon Corporation, will host a photo exhibition and talk events by photographer Junji Takasago at Nikon Plaza Tokyo and Osaka. These events celebrate the publication of the booklet 'Traveling through Canada's Great Fields of Nature with Junji Takasago: A Guide to Activities in Canada's National Parks,' produced by Destination Canada and Nikkei National Geographic. This project will showcase works of nature and wildlife captured by Junji Takasago across various regions of Canada. Talk events will also be held where he will share behind-the-scenes stories and the thoughts embedded in his work, allowing visitors to experience the allure of Canada's grand natural environment through photography. The guidebook created ahead of this project introduces unique landscapes, creatures, and natural experiences only found in Canada, alongside the charms of carefully selected national parks, conservation efforts, indigenous tourism initiatives, and activities for travelers. Furthermore, the booklet features a dialogue between Junji Takasago and Nikon's lens designers. He won the Best Award in the 'Natural Artistry' category of 'Wildlife Photographer of the Year 2022.' He has published over 30 books, including 'PLANET OF WATER' and 'Dear Earth.' He is a director of OWS (The Oceanic Wildlife Society).
