Niigata Nippo Generative AI Lab Forms "Regional Co-creation Generative AI Partnership Agreement" with Fukushima Minpo

Niigata Nippo Generative AI Lab Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Niigata Nippo Co., Ltd., has signed a "Regional Co-creation Generative AI Partnership Agreement" with Fukushima Minpo Co., Ltd. Through this agreement, the Generative AI Lab will support Fukushima Minpo in the construction and operation of its future generative AI services, both in terms of technology and know-how. This is the 8th generative AI collaboration between the Generative AI Lab and local newspaper companies nationwide. The partnership aims to solve unique challenges in Fukushima Prefecture and create new value by leveraging Fukushima Minpo's strong information dissemination capabilities and focus on regional DX promotion. The collaboration includes supporting the development of Fukushima-specific generative AI utilizing Fukushima Minpo's extensive news data, sharing operational know-how based on precedents in Niigata Prefecture and other partner regions, and promoting digital innovation in local communities by sharing knowledge gained through the network of newspaper companies. Partnering local newspaper companies include Iwate Nippo, Shimotsuke Shimbun, Tokushima Shimbun, Kita Nihon Shimbun, Ibaraki Shimbun, Shinano Mainichi Shimbun, Yamagata Shimbun, and Fukushima Minpo. Niigata Nippo Generative AI Lab is located in Niigata City, Niigata Prefecture, and its business involves industrial innovation and solving social issues through AI-driven service development.
