Hotel Metropolitan Takasaki Participates as a Cooperating Company in the "Takasaki City Oguri Public Relations Project"

【June 2026】Takasaki --- Hotel Metropolitan Takasaki Co., Ltd. (Address: 222 Yashima-cho, Takasaki City, Gunma Prefecture / President and General Manager: Jun Maeda) has agreed to and joined the "Takasaki City Oguri Public Relations Project" promoted by Takasaki City as a land associated with Oguri Kozuke-no-suke Tadamasa, a samurai official who is the protagonist of the 2027 Taiga drama "Bakushin of the Clan of Rebels".

With the aim of fostering regional momentum and promoting tourism for the Taiga drama broadcast, we will begin disseminating information about Lord Oguri utilizing the hotel's facilities as the first phase.

Current PR Project Details

We have launched the following initiatives to convey the achievements of Lord Oguri and the charm of the associated areas to our guests staying at our hotel, the gateway to Takasaki.

1. Special Information Featured on the "Tourist Information" Page of Guest Room Televisions

A special page related to Oguri Kozuke-no-suke Tadamasa has been opened within the "Tourist Information" menu of the televisions installed in all guest rooms. You can view information about his activities in the Kurabuchi region of Takasaki City and historical sites while relaxing in your room.

2. "Introduction to Lord Oguri Video" to be Broadcast on Lobby Television

We will begin broadcasting an introductory video about Lord Oguri on the monitor installed in the front lobby. You can learn about the life of the genius samurai official who contributed to the modernization of Japan in the late Edo period during your wait upon arrival or departure.
