Fukushima Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Fukushima City, Fukushima Prefecture; Representative: Yoshiyuki Kaneko; hereinafter 'Fukushima Nissan') held its induction ceremony and company-wide strategy meeting at the Namie Town Regional Sports Center on Wednesday, April 1, 2026.
This year's induction ceremony, the fourth to be held in Namie Town, was the first joint ceremony for the KANEYO Group. It welcomed a total of 19 new employees: 17 from Fukushima Nissan, 1 from Nissan Parts Fukushima Sales Co., Ltd., and 1 from Naproearth Co., Ltd.
With determination as new working professionals in their hearts, the new employees took their first steps as members of the KANEYO Group.
During the ceremony, Representative Kaneko addressed the new employees, stating, 'Starting as a working professional is the beginning of continuously facing your own work, and where you take that first step also holds meaning,' as he spoke about the significance of holding the ceremony in Namie.
Touching upon the 15-year milestone since the earthquake and nuclear accident, he reflected that what was required on the ground back then was 'gathering information,' 'moving without missing the timing,' and 'supporting each other with peers.' He stated that such actions resonate with the company's philosophy of acting 'swiftly and first.'
Furthermore, he mentioned the history of Namie as the founding place of Naproearth, which was forced to relocate after the earthquake, positioning it as 'a place where what was lost overlaps with what we are trying to regain.'
Based on this, he announced 'Challenge: GRIT, Follow Through for One Year' as the theme for fiscal 2026, emphasizing the importance of accumulating challenges upon the relationships that have been re-tied. In addition, he urged the new employees to 'constantly ask yourselves who your work is for,' expressing his expectations for the company's role in supporting the community and people, and for each individual's actions to create value.
