NHK Culture Kyoto will host a talk event featuring Aimi Tanaka, a rising star in the enka world. This will be Tanaka's first-ever solo talk event, held in her hometown of Kyoto.

Having grown up surrounded by music, Tanaka made her professional debut while still in university. Since then, training under Takashi Hosokawa as his protégée, she has developed her own unique singing style.

During this event, Tanaka will reflect on her journey so far, discussing how she arrived at her personal philosophy of expression—"I sing as myself"—transcending the conventional boundaries of being labeled an "enka singer."

The talk will explore how she has preserved and established her individuality within the traditional world of enka, delving into her inner struggles, challenges, and continuous confrontation with her own identity.

This event promises to be an inspiring and insightful experience not only for enka fans but also for anyone pursuing their dreams.
