Japan Housing Quality Award 2025 Winners Announced: Valuing 'Substance' Over 'Appearance' in Homes

NEXT STAGE Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Osaka, Japan; President: Naokatsu Komura) has completed the judging for the "Japan Housing Quality Award 2025" and has decided the winners for the third annual Building Division and Company Division. This award highlights "manufacturing quality (on-site capability)" – how well design specifications are realized on-site – rather than visible "design quality" such as aesthetics or specifications. The award ceremony, where the Grand Prize winners will be announced and the achievements of the awarded construction companies and builders will be celebrated, will be held on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, in Yodoyabashi, Osaka. The evaluation period for the award was from January 1, 2025, to March 31, 2026. The evaluation system includes 10 on-site audits, a demerit system starting from 100 points, and assessment of improvement actions. Nominated companies include 13 in the Company Division and 26 companies with 49 buildings in the Building Division.
