Dealing with Clothing Care During the Rainy Season

The humid rainy season makes laundry difficult to dry, often leading to concerns about mold, humidity, and odors in clothes and bedding. In collaboration with Rinavis, we surveyed 400 men and women across Japan who have used cleaning services before regarding their "clothing care and concerns during the rainy/humidity season."

### Key Findings

**1. Rainy Season Concerns** 40.0% of respondents stated they have struggled with mold, humidity, or odors in clothes or bedding during the rainy season.

**2. Countermeasures** How those who have experienced these issues deal with them (multiple answers allowed): - Home laundry: 58.1% - Drying on sunny days: 50.0% - Using indoor-drying detergents: 30.6% - Drying thoroughly before storage: 30.6% - Using deodorizing sprays: 29.4% - Using dehumidifiers/dryers: 28.1% - Professional cleaning: 18.8%

**3. Frequency of Cleaning Service Usage** 87.0% of respondents said their frequency of using cleaning services does not change during the rainy season, even if laundry is harder to dry. Only 13.0% said usage increases.

Useful Services and Information** Items considered useful for rainy season measures (multiple answers allowed): - Anti-mold and anti-odor treatments: 40.3% - Home-based humidity management information: 36.8% - Washing duvets/blankets: 29.8% - Drying and disinfection services: 25.0% - Storage guidance for the rainy season: 17.0%

**5. Important Factors for Cleaning Services** What is most valued when using cleaning services during the rainy season: - Price: 33.3% - Cleanliness of the finish: 25.5% - Anti-mold and anti-odor measures: 24.8%

While price is the top factor, combining "cleanliness of the finish" and "anti-mold and anti-odor measures" accounts for nearly half of the responses, indicating a high expectation for quality.
