Have you ever been unsure where to go to play with your child?

The Kinki region is home to a wide variety of unique play areas, from large theme parks to aquariums, zoos, amusement parks, and parks where you can feel the history.

Because there are so many options, it can be difficult to decide on a destination.

So this time, in collaboration with M's Clinic, we conducted a survey of 300 parents nationwide with children on "recommended spots to play with kids in the Kinki region."

◆1st Place: Universal Studios Japan (Osaka) - 119 votes

The following comments were received from survey respondents:

・Because it's a place my child wants to go. (Male, 30s)

・Because I often watch movies, and the related attractions are interesting. (Female, 30s)

・Because there are various attractions, and both adults and children can enjoy them. (Male, 40s)

・Because adults can become like children and play with their kids like friends. (Female, 60s)

・Because people of a wide range of ages can enjoy it. (Male, 40s)

The top spot was "Universal Studios Japan (Osaka)."

The most prominent reason for choosing it was the abundance of attractions. Comments like "kids won't get bored" and "you can play all day" were received from all generations.

Also, the fact that adults can enjoy it too was one of the reasons it gathered support. Areas and characters that recreate the world of movies are also appealing to parents. It seems that the ability for parents and children to get excited together on the same level was a key factor in gathering many votes.

◆2nd Place: Kaiyukan (Osaka) - 26 votes

The following comments were received from survey respondents:

・Because you can see creatures leisurely indoors, and adults can enjoy it too. (Female, 30s)

・Because it's open and you can interact with various fish. (Female, 40s)

・Because Kaiyukan is large and worth seeing. (Female, 40s)

・I like aquariums. (Female, 50s)

・It's not affected by the weather. (Female, 60s)

The second place was "Kaiyukan (Osaka)."

The most noticeable reason for its selection was the comment "I like aquariums." The joy of seeing marine life up close is likely to be a special experience for children. Indeed, there were also comments that children enjoyed it.

Also, from a parent's perspective, the point that "it's not affected by the weather" was mentioned. Being an indoor facility, being able to enjoy it without changing plans even on rainy days seems to be a reassuring point for outings with children.

◆3rd Place: Hirakata Park (Osaka) - 19 votes

The following comments were received from survey respondents:

・It's convenient and good. (Female, 30s)

・Because I've been going there since I was a child, and it feels like it's still evolving. (Male, 40s)

・You can play casually. (Female, 50s)

・The cost and crowd levels are just right. (Female, 50s)

"Hirakata Park (Osaka)" ranked third.

Many comments praised its scale, which allows for relaxed enjoyment, using words like "convenient," "play casually," and "the cost and crowd levels are just right."

Unlike large theme parks that require a full day's commitment and effort, the ease of visiting it as a familiar spot seems to be the unique appeal of Hirakata Park.

◆4th Place: Nara Park (Nara) - 18 votes

The following comments were received from survey respondents:

・Because there's no other place where you can be so close to deer. (Female, 30s)

・You can get close to nature. (Female, 60s)

・I want to show the deer to my child. (Male, 60s)

・It feels good to play in a large park, you can see deer, and you can easily go to famous temples and shrines. (Male, 60s)

・Because there are historic shrines and temples nearby, so you can learn while playing. (Male, 70s)

The fourth place was "Nara Park (Nara)."

The most prominent reason for its selection was, of course, the presence of "deer." The experience of being close to deer is likely to leave a strong impression on children.

Comments like "you can get close to nature" and "you can play in a large park" were also seen. In addition to the environment where you can relax and play, the surrounding area has historic shrines and temples, so it seems to be valued as a place where you can learn while playing.

◆5th Place: Adventure World (Wakayama) - 14 votes

The following comments were received from survey respondents:

・Because if you like animals, you can enjoy it. (Female, 40s)

・You can enjoy a zoo, aquarium, and amusement park all at once. (Male, 40s)

・There are pandas. (Male, 50s)

・The killer whale show is fun. (Male, 60s)

・Because there used to be pandas and I enjoyed it. (Female, 50s)

"Adventure World (Wakayama)" ranked fifth.

The ability to enjoy a zoo, aquarium, and amusement park all at once was cited as a major attraction. The comment "you can enjoy a zoo, aquarium, and amusement park all at once" shows that it is valued as a facility offering a wide range of fun.

The fact that children can easily enjoy themselves regardless of whether their interest lies in animals, marine life, or rides seems to be a reassuring point for parents who are unsure where to go.

◆6th to 10th Place

6th Place: Suzuka Circuit Park (Mie) - 13 votes
