Image of Custom Suits: Approximately 68% Respond 'Expensive'. Reasons for Purchase and Information Sought When Considering?

A survey conducted jointly by Global Style Co., Ltd. and NEXER Co., Ltd. targeted 800 men and women nationwide to understand the 'image and actual usage of custom suits'. The survey period was from March 19 to March 27, 2026. Results showed that 16.0% of respondents have purchased or ordered custom suits. Among those who purchased, the most common reason was 'wanted a proper suit for work' (22.7%), followed by 'ready-made sizes didn't fit' (17.2%) and 'recommended by family/friends/colleagues' (17.2%). For those who haven't purchased, common reasons included high price, time/effort for selection, and uncertainty about where to order. A significant 67.8% of respondents hold the image that custom suits are 'expensive'.
