Reiwa Travel Appoints Yo Ishimi as Outside Director to Strengthen Management System

Reiwa Travel Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Takaya Shinozuka), which operates the smart and affordable travel app "NEWT (Newt)", announces that Yo Ishimi has been appointed as an outside director at the general shareholders' meeting held on June 24, 2026.

New Outside Director: Yo Ishimi (Physician, Doctor of Medical Science)

After graduating from Shinshu University School of Medicine in 1999, he joined the Department of Cardiovascular Medicine at Tokyo Women's Medical University Hospital. His research theme is regenerative medicine for blood vessels. While working as a physician, he founded the current MedPeer, Inc. in December 2004 and became its Representative Director and President. In August 2007, he launched a community site exclusively for doctors. He grew it into "MedPeer," a collective intelligence platform for doctors, with over half of Japan's doctors participating. He became Chairman of the Board of Directors of the company in December 2024. He is currently an active physician and entrepreneur at the forefront of health tech and medical care. In May 2026, he established the General Incorporated Foundation for the Development of Future Medical Professionals and became its Chairman.
