Kang Qingyuan, General Manager of SysMed Digital (4160-TW), stated today (16th) that the company's AI and Data Application Center (AI Center) has become a new growth engine, successfully opening a second revenue growth curve by extending AI applications into drug design and semiconductor material simulation, driving smart R&D-related revenue in the first quarter of this year to double compared to the same period last year. Additionally, strong export momentum boosted overseas business revenue by 65% year-on-year.

Kang Qingyuan pointed out that SysMed Digital has built an AI biological world model that uses AI to predict, simulate, and design biological mechanisms, helping R&D shift from traditional trial-and-error approaches to a new model that is designable and verifiable.

He also noted that over the past two years, the AI Center has assisted the group in securing 11 invention patents and publishing 10 papers, with the cumulative impact factor of AI Center's research publications reaching 272, successfully establishing a second growth curve through AI biomedical applications.

Furthermore, in response to government policies, SysMed Digital is also advancing AI drug design, electronic Common Technical Document (eCTD) for drug registration, and AI-assisted quality and production management systems.

In testing services, AI has been integrated into existing testing items. Based on the multi-gene model publicly released by the Taiwan Precision Medicine Initiative (TPMI), combined with SysMed's 2 million precision data records and proprietary analytical methods, the accuracy and application value of testing services have been enhanced, further driving product upgrades.

Regarding testing services, Kang Qingyuan mentioned that three key testing growth strategies have proven effective: upgrading testing volume to improve post-implantation success rates, resulting in exponential growth in sample intake; offering diverse pricing tiers to meet the needs of different customer segments, with revenue from mid-to-high-end genetic disease carrier screening growing tenfold and adult health check-related testing revenue also increasing nearly tenfold; and comprehensive testing support services that have successfully driven steady revenue growth in testing.
