ASUS (2357-TW) held a press conference today (16th) for its enterprise solutions platform, ASUS EXPERTHUB, launching a one-stop advisory service that connects small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with local software partners. The initiative marks ASUS's full-scale entry into Taiwan's digital transformation and smart application market, targeting the island's 1.715 million SMEs. ASUS has long held the top brand position in Taiwan's commercial computer market, with a market share of around 40%. Recognizing the high potential of this sector, the company aims to move beyond pure hardware sales and capture business opportunities driven by AI-powered digital transformation.
Liao Yi-Xiang, General Manager of ASUS United Technology System Business, stated that the company has been preparing and cultivating this initiative in Taiwan for six years. The platform currently aggregates nearly 200 solutions, with the number of independent software vendors (ISVs) and solution partners continuing to grow.
Liao mentioned that ASUS has set clear growth targets for this long-term project. By the end of this year, the number of partnered ISVs is expected to surpass 200, and by next year, the platform aims to expand its solution offerings to nearly 400.
To address two major pain points faced by SMEs—insufficient procurement budgets and lack of digital expertise—ASUS has simultaneously launched two tools: a procurement platform and an application platform. These provide a secure, one-stop purchasing experience and a unified single sign-on management system.
Liao emphasized a 'diagnose first, prescribe later' advisory service model. ASUS has assigned approximately 15 full-time consultants internally and has partnered with a 40-year-old professional consulting firm, system integrators, and industry associations to assist enterprises on the ground in resolving process and technical integration challenges.
In terms of business model, the platform currently operates without charging listing fees. Its operations are structured around three core models based on enterprise needs: a pure referral and matchmaking model similar to ride-hailing platforms, portal integration that connects enterprise information gateways with software for attendance and payroll, and hardware-software bundled solutions for on-premises servers.
Liao stated that this flexible structure not only enhances daily user engagement among SME employees but also drives increased sales of ASUS's high-end hardware, such as servers, through deeper software adoption.
Looking ahead, ASUS plans to leverage its successful experience in the Taiwan market to expand overseas in collaboration with high-quality domestic software partners. The company will also align with government initiatives, such as the National Development Council and the Software Industry Association's multi-billion-dollar subsidies for SME digital transformation, to create synergies through a 'large leading small' (da dai xiao) model. ASUS aims to further increase its market share in the SME commercial segment through deeper hardware-software collaboration.
