Yung Shin-KY (4178-TW), a provider of cell preservation and cell preparation services, is expanding its operations into international cell supply and CDMO (Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization) services. Today (16th), the company announced the signing of a cell supply and CDMO cooperation agreement with Everlens. Under this agreement, Yung Shin will utilize mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) derived from public-donation umbilical tissue banks in the United States to support Everlens in the research and development, process development, and clinical trials of its exosome-based products.
Huang Yan-Wen, Business Director of Yung Shin, stated, "Yung Shin has long been dedicated to umbilical cord blood and tissue, establishing a comprehensive platform for cell collection, processing, preservation, and supply that complies with international quality management standards and GTP (Good Tissue Practice) guidelines."
Huang further emphasized, "This collaboration marks a new phase in Yung Shin’s cell supply platform, transitioning into an advanced business model. We will continue to expand our capacity for cell raw material supply and integrate CDMO services to offer a one-stop, end-to-end solution—from cell sourcing and process development to manufacturing—meeting the growing global demand in regenerative medicine and cell therapy."
Dr. Lin Tsou-Yien, Chairman of Everlens, commented, "Our partnership with Yung Shin is expected to enhance product development efficiency, accelerate clinical progress, and jointly strengthen Taiwan’s competitiveness in the global regenerative medicine and exosome industry."
Looking ahead, Huang noted, "By leveraging U.S. public-donation umbilical tissue banks and our cell manufacturing capabilities, we aim to assist more partners in accelerating the development of innovative therapies and further expand our presence in the global branded cell supply market."
