Keihin-Shonan Area's New Transportation "Umikaze Kotsu" Launches Today

Six companies of the Keikyu Taxi Group, which joined the newmo Inc. group (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director and President: Naoki Aoyagi; hereinafter "newmo"), changed their company names as of April 1, 2026, and have newly commenced business operations as "Umikaze Kotsu Inc."

Along with this, we are pleased to announce the unveiling of our new brand logo and official website.

About the New Name "Umikaze Kotsu"

【Origin of the Name】

The name "Umikaze" (sea breeze) embodies the desire to be a presence deeply rooted in the beautiful coastal regions blessed with the sea, such as the Miura Peninsula, Shonan, and Yokohama, and to be close to the local community. Furthermore, by combining this with the "new wind" of technology and business infrastructure brought by newmo, we express our commitment not only to preserve our history but also to evolve with the region and continue to provide better mobility experiences.

【Logo Concept】

The logo design expresses a sense of security with a warm and nostalgic font, while a slight tilt and bounce in the characters visualize the forward momentum and positive energy brought by a new wind.

Starting today, we will progressively renew the lanterns and body designs of approximately 400 taxi vehicles we own to the "Umikaze Kotsu" specifications.

Launch of Official Website

Even after the transition to Umikaze Kotsu, various services will remain available as before. The newly launched official website is designed to allow smooth taxi dispatch requests by phone, whether accessed from a PC or smartphone. Information on services such as "Airport Transfer Fixed-Rate Service" to Haneda and Narita airports and "Childcare Taxi" is also clearly posted.
