The global sports and lifestyle brand New Era and <kansaï yamamoto>, a fashion brand founded by designer Kansai Yamamoto, who gained worldwide attention by holding the first fashion show by a Japanese designer in London in 1971, have found their brand spirits resonating, leading to their first collaboration.
The collection will be released on Thursday, April 9, at New Era stores nationwide (excluding New Era Mini Nagoya Station), the official online store, and authorized New Era retailers.

This collaboration features 20 energetic and diverse items that embody Japonism, including caps, hats, T-shirts, and bags. The designs include reinterpreted motifs iconic to <kansaï yamamoto> such as tigers, dragons, and Kanji characters, as well as graphics used for the <kansaï yamamoto> 1981-82 Autumn/Winter Paris Collection invitation, created by Terry Johnson (Teruhiko Yumura), the founder of "Heta-uma" illustration, known for his unique aesthetic that "clumsy is more wonderful than skillful."
