Aiming for Zero Heatstroke Project 2026 Season Activities Start: Training Videos to Support Heatstroke Prevention Measures for Companies and Organizations Now Available for Sale on Official Store

The "Aiming for Zero Heatstroke" project (hereinafter, "this project"), promoted by the Japan Weather Association (Headquarters: Toshima-ku, Tokyo; President: Kazuhiro Watanabe; hereinafter, "Japan Weather Association"), will commence its 2026 season activities on April 1st (Wednesday). Along with this, the "Heatstroke Prevention Course for Everyone" video will be available for sale on the "Aiming for Zero Heatstroke" official store starting today. This video can be utilized for in-house training, etc., to acquire knowledge on heatstroke prevention and countermeasures.

This year's project theme is "Supporting those who are responsible for heatstroke prevention." We will disseminate information that contributes to supporting awareness-raising among workplace safety and health managers, site supervisors, human resources/general affairs personnel, and educators – those in positions that oversee organizations and society – thereby raising awareness of heatstroke countermeasures across society as a whole.

What is the "Aiming for Zero Heatstroke" Project?

This project, promoted by the Japan Weather Association, aims to reduce the number of people suffering from heatstroke and eliminate heatstroke deaths. Since its launch in the summer of 2013, it has been actively engaged in disseminating correct knowledge and countermeasures regarding heatstroke to as many people as possible, centered on communicating weather information that significantly impacts the incidence of heatstroke. In 2026, its 14th year of activity, the theme is "Supporting those who are responsible for heatstroke prevention," and it will implement heatstroke prevention awareness activities. With the intensification of recent hot weather, and the mandatory heatstroke countermeasures for companies starting in June 2025, the social importance of supporting care personnel for heatstroke prevention is increasing.
