Voices from Support Organizations (Excerpts)

We have received the following feedback from support organizations in various regions that received the support items:

Thanks to everyone's support, we are most happy that the children can eat their fill. Just seeing the children happily eating their rice balls makes us feel happy too.

(Shiga Prefecture, Konan City - SUKUSUKU Cafe)

When we make onigiri, the children happily stuff their hands with them and ask for seconds. Rice is one of the most popular foods for children.

(Toyama Prefecture, Kurobe City - NPO Kyoiku Kenkyujo Nikko Nikko Yume Shokudo)

The children ate the rice, carefully cultivated by the people of Asahikawa, with great enjoyment. We are sincerely grateful for being able to increase the smiles of children through food. Your warm feelings support the healthy growth of children and community connections.

(Gunma Prefecture, Isesaki City - Children's Cafeteria "Himawari Cafe")

It is very regrettable that we cannot convey the smiles and cheers of the children who received the items, but the delicious rice from Asahikawa was very well received.

(Saga Prefecture, Tosu City - Certified NPO Good Neighbors Japan Tosu Warehouse)

It is evident that food support not only provides nutrition but also fosters a sense of security, smiles, and community connections.

"Kodomo Furusato Bin" Delivers Regional Specialty Products and Experiences as "Support Items" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2R3PpCaRPW0

"Kodomo Furusato Bin" is a system that utilizes Furusato Nozei to deliver regional specialty products and experiences as "support items" to children's cafeterias, single-parent households, and children facing serious illnesses.

Donors can participate in child support while receiving return gifts, similar to regular Furusato Nozei.

Furthermore, donors can choose the recipient region and organization for the "support items" themselves, allowing for Furusato Nozei donations that convey the sentiment of "who they want to support and what kind of support they want to deliver," making it a "purpose-aligned" Furusato Nozei.

Asahikawa City Project

This donation was carried out in collaboration with Asahikawa City, Hokkaido.

Asahikawa City, Hokkaido, is implementing a project to deliver Asahikawa-produced rice to children's cafeterias and single-parent households nationwide, utilizing Furusato Nozei donations from corporations and individuals.

With the increase in households needing food support due to the impact of rising prices, Asahikawa City is providing support centered on rice, a representative agricultural product of the region. This project aims to contribute to food support by continuously delivering Asahikawa-produced rice, with a target of 100 tons in cumulative donations. Additionally, through this support, we aim to convey the appeal of Asahikawa rice to children nationwide and are considering support for agricultural products other than rice.
