NESS Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Setagaya-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Yuki Kido; hereinafter "NESS"), which aims to realize a society where all children can fairly challenge the future and works to create systems that deliver hope and opportunities to children, celebrated its 4th anniversary on June 10, 2026.
On this occasion, NESS has established a new vision, "A society where all children can fairly challenge the future," and a new mission, "Challenge your fate."
During its 4th fiscal year (June 2025 to May 2026), NESS has accumulated collaborations with government agencies, local governments, and major corporations, external evaluations, and demonstration projects through initiatives such as "Kodomo Furusato Bin" (Children's Hometown Delivery), the food matching platform "Stenass," and projects to promote the utilization of unused food.
In its 5th fiscal year, based on the new vision and mission and the values it has cherished, NESS will further accelerate the social implementation of systems that deliver hope and opportunities to children through organizational strengthening, recruitment enhancement, and its first-ever fundraising.
Topics of the 4th Fiscal Year
The 4th fiscal year was a year of significant progress in the social implementation of "Kodomo Furusato Bin." Through full-scale partnerships with local governments, the launch of a dedicated portal site, external awards, and expansion of support to all 47 prefectures, the business's expansion and social impact materialized as concrete results. At the same time, demonstration results accumulated in the unused food utilization promotion business and the food matching platform "Stenass," with multiple businesses advancing across NESS as a whole.
Key Policies for the 5th Fiscal Year
1. Organizational strengthening based on the new vision and mission
2. Strengthening recruitment; recruiting colleagues to "challenge" together
3. Implementing the first-ever fundraising to accelerate social implementation and organizational growth

Thoughts Behind the New Vision and Mission
In establishing the new vision and mission, NESS has expressed how it will engage with society and children through the following words.
This world is unequal.
That is why we want all children
to have fair opportunities.
No matter the adversity, we want them
to have hope and challenge the future.
To realize such a society,
NESS will fight.
Challenge your fate.
We will collaborate with families, individuals, and companies
who share the same wishes,
create systems that change society,
connect wishes, and deliver hope to children.
'Businesses that solve social issues are difficult'
We will challenge even that fate.
Forever, everywhere.
Together with all children
and everyone who cares for children.
Background of the New Vision and Mission
Until now, NESS has faced the reality that children's opportunities for food and experiences are determined by their environment and has built businesses around this.
Since its founding, it has described this reality as "children's opportunity gap." This term is necessary for visualizing social issues, understanding them as a structure, and addressing them as a whole society.
At the same time, through engaging with children and their families via its businesses, NESS has continuously thought about how this term reaches those affected. It values both accurately conveying the issue and using warm language when speaking about children's futures.
In establishing this vision and mission, NESS has made clearer its goal of a society where children can fairly access opportunities to move toward the future, while inheriting the awareness of issues it has valued.
The vision, "A society where all children can fairly challenge the future," represents a society where children can challenge the future with hope, regardless of their environment.
The mission, "Challenge your fate," represents NESS's own attitude of continuously challenging the difficulty of creating businesses that address social issues.
Together with many people who care about children—families, communities, companies, local governments, and organizations—NESS wants to create a society with warm support. This wish and determination are embodied in the new vision and mission.
2. Strengthening Recruitment; Recruiting Colleagues to "Challenge" Together
The social issues NESS addresses have a future to aim for. However, the systems and business models to realize that future have not yet sufficiently spread throughout society.
That is why our work requires sincerity in facing the field, a sense of responsibility to see things through, and professionalism focused on results.
Systems that deliver hope and opportunities to children cannot be sustained by passion alone. It is necessary to create a sustainable form while engaging with many stakeholders, including local governments, companies, local businesses, support organizations, and families.
While this process has its difficulties, there is a tangible sense that one's work drives the business and connects to systems that reach children.
NESS is recruiting colleagues who share the same aspirations and are willing to challenge social issues, including the difficulties, through business.

3. Implementing First-Ever Fundraising to Accelerate Social Implementation and Organizational Growth
To accelerate business and organizational growth and further promote efforts to address social issues, NESS is undertaking its first-ever fundraising.
Until now, NESS has operated with a "bootstrapping" management style, expanding with its own funds, steadily building results in existing businesses while investing in new ventures. After four fiscal years, the growth probability of new businesses has become visible. To leverage business growth and expand impact, NESS is pursuing a type of fundraising that "does not aim for IPO or M&A."
From its 5th fiscal year onward, NESS will further accelerate growth and expand systems that deliver hope to more children.
