Neo Japan Inc. (Headquarters: Yokohama, Kanagawa; President: Akimasa Saito) conducted a rice planting experience for its employees and their families at 'Neo Japan Farm' in Tamba-Sasayama City, Hyogo Prefecture, on Saturday, May 23, 2026. This initiative is part of the 'Sustainable Rice Partnership,' a regional circular agriculture model established on January 30, 2026, with the NPO Green Days Japan (Location: Nishiwaki, Hyogo; Chairperson: Yuki Fujiwara). The company joined as the first partner, supporting Green Days Japan's philosophy of solving the dual social issues of 'agricultural labor shortages' and 'second career support for professional athletes.' The purpose of this event was for employees to experience the process of regenerating abandoned farmland firsthand, thereby increasing their awareness of the importance of food and regional contribution. On the day, under the guidance of Green Days Japan staff, employees performed both manual and machine-assisted rice planting. Participating employees commented, 'Through the work of getting covered in mud, which is the opposite of our IT jobs, we were able to reaffirm the significance of the business we are supporting.' The seedlings planted this time are scheduled to be harvested in the autumn as 'high-quality Tamba-Sasayama Koshihikari.' The harvested rice will be delivered to all employees as a 'benefit in kind' through the company's dedicated system. Neo Japan intends to continue these activities at 'Neo Japan Farm' and, while leveraging the knowledge gained in Hyogo Prefecture, aims to expand into regional issue resolution and farmland revitalization in Kanagawa Prefecture, where its headquarters is located.
