"Neco Republic Hogo Neko Clinic," operated by Neco Republic Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Taito-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Asaka Kawase), in cooperation with Azabu University, will hold "2026 Spay Day Ogaki" in Ogaki City, Gifu Prefecture, for two days on March 30th and 31st, 2026. We will provide free spay/neuter surgeries, including the trapping process, for approximately 80 stray cats, rescue cats, and cats rescued from multi-cat household collapse sites within Gifu Prefecture.

Background: The tragedy of "multi-cat household collapse" that grows unnoticed

In Gifu Prefecture, problems with stray cats and multi-cat household collapses continue to occur frequently. Cats have an extremely high reproductive rate, and there are many cases where simply feeding one female cat leads to a population of over 80 cats in just one year. There is no end to the number of people who, unaware of the reality of a cat's phenomenal reproductive capacity, continue to feed them out of pity, only to find themselves overwhelmed and unable to cope with the overpopulation.

Solution: Thorough support for those who fall through the cracks and struggle with subsidy applications

At sites of multi-cat household collapse, it is financially extremely difficult to pay for spay/neuter surgeries for all the cats out of pocket. Government subsidy procedures are often complex and difficult, and many people fall through the cracks because they are unaware of the systems or give up on using them.

This project provides comprehensive support to those who "cannot help themselves." Neco Republic will handle the on-site trapping (the 'T' in TNR) and rescue, and will provide the entire process up to the spay/neuter surgery completely free of charge.

Structure: Large-scale mass TNR in collaboration with Azabu University
