NEC Facilities, Ltd. (Head Office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President and Representative Director: Eiji Ozaki; hereinafter referred to as NEC Facilities) will exhibit jointly with NEC at "NATURE TECH!" (Note 2), an exhibition held alongside the international summit "Global Nature Positive Summit 2026" (Note 1), which will take place from Tuesday, July 14, 2026.
In recent years, environmental measures required of companies have expanded beyond climate change countermeasures to include the suppression and restoration of nature loss, such as the conservation of water resources and the recovery of ecosystems. Particularly in industries such as semiconductors and electronics, where "water is the lifeline," reducing environmental impact and conserving/restoring natural capital have become critical issues directly linked to sustainable corporate management.
NEC Facilities has been involved for over half a century in facility management of factory infrastructure equipment, including electricity and air conditioning, and in the design and construction of water treatment facilities, particularly within the semiconductor manufacturing industry, which has a high environmental load. Leveraging this expertise, NEC Facilities will exhibit its "Water Utilization and Optimization Service," which promotes the recycling of water in factories, and its "Environmental Analysis Service," which analyzes chemical substances such as PFAS with high precision.
NEC Facilities' Exhibition Content
1. "Water Utilization and Optimization Service" to Promote Recycling of Factory Water
This service investigates and analyzes the water usage status of the entire factory, identifies drainage systems suitable for water recovery, and proposes everything from the introduction plan to the installation work of water recovery equipment to enable efficient water recycling between manufacturing facilities.
This supports the reduction of water intake and drainage costs, as well as the resolution of water risks such as ground subsidence risk, water intake restrictions, and wastewater discharge regulations. By leveraging the comprehensive engineering capabilities cultivated over many years in semiconductor factories, it contributes to the conservation of regional water resources and the reduction of environmental load from factories.
2. "Environmental Analysis Service" to Analyze Chemical Substances such as PFAS
PFAS is a general term for per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances, and due to their property of being difficult to decompose in the natural environment, concerns about their impact on health and the environment have been growing in recent years. Regulatory strengthening movements are progressing both domestically and internationally, and related standards and operations are being reviewed in Japan.
This service utilizes technologies cultivated over many years to analyze PFAS with high sensitivity and speed using the latest LC-MS/MS (Liquid Chromatography-Tandem Mass Spectrometry, Note 3). Through customized analysis tailored to needs, such as low-concentration measurement and simultaneous multi-item analysis, it supports regulatory compliance and risk assessment.
Furthermore, NEC Facilities also handles analysis in various environmental fields, including air quality, water quality, soil, asbestos, and noise/vibration. By conducting sample collection and analysis based on official methods and comparing them with standard values, it contributes to providing highly reliable data and solving issues.
