Kazuya Takeuchi, Representative Director of NAVICUS Inc. and Director of Yamanashi Innovation Base (hereinafter, YNIB), will deliver a lecture on the theme of "Self-Branding" at Yamanashi Gakuin University. This lecture has been continuously held since 2022 and will mark its fifth term in the 2026 academic year.

【Background of the Lecture】

In recent years, as societal and career options have diversified, the importance of "self-branding" – understanding one's own value and strengths and expressing them appropriately – has increased.

This lecture was launched with the aim of nurturing the ability of young people in Yamanashi Prefecture to confront their own potential and proactively forge their careers. By having active business leaders affiliated with YNIB serve as instructors, the lecture provides realistic learning based on real-world society.

【Features of the Lecture】

This lecture adopts an active learning format centered on discussions, group work, and presentations.

Through workshops that encourage students to confront their "past, present, and future" selves, and dialogues with business leaders, students will verbalize their values and strengths and consider their role in society.

Furthermore, the lecture aims not only for knowledge acquisition but also for the acquisition of practical skills such as "goal setting and execution," "hypothesis testing," and "self-expression."

【2026 Academic Year Lecture Overview】

The 2026 academic year will consist of 13 lectures, structured around the following themes:

・ Thinking about one's potential

・ Visualizing the lifeline (past, present, future)

・ Learning values and decision-making from business leaders

・ Understanding added value in society

・ Self-expression and presentation

The lecture will not only focus on individual career development but also incorporate perspectives based on Japanese and global trends, providing an opportunity to consider one's future with a broad outlook.

【About Kazuya Takeuchi】

Kazuya Takeuchi serves as the Representative Director of NAVICUS Inc., which provides communication support services for companies and local governments, primarily focusing on SNS strategy design. He also serves as a Director of Yamanashi Innovation Base, working on human resource development and entrepreneur support in the region.

In this lecture, based on his practical experience as a business leader, he will provide students with thinking methods and practical opportunities to envision their own unique careers.

Kazuya Takeuchi

After graduating from Waseda University, he joined DeNA Co., Ltd. after working at an IT venture operating community services, where he was responsible for launching the SNS marketing team. Subsequently, after serving as marketing manager at Trustbank Inc., which operates "Furusato Choice," a major hometown tax donation portal site, he established NAVICUS Inc. in 2018, which provides community and SNS marketing support. In October 2022, he was appointed CMO of NAVICUS Kyushu Inc., which provides web marketing support primarily in Kyushu.

【About Yamanashi Innovation Base (YNIB)】

YNIB is a network for entrepreneurs with ties to Yamanashi, supporting young entrepreneurs (those with entrepreneurial spirit or entrepreneurs) in Yamanashi. With Yamanashi Governor Nagasaki and Kofu Mayor Higuchi as advisors, it was established in October 2021 by four entrepreneurs from Yamanashi Prefecture who belong to EO (Entrepreneurs' Organization), a global network of business leaders.
