**Mētele (Nagoya Television Broadcasting Co., Ltd.) will co-host the '3rd Domannaka Anime Film Festival' with Midland Square Cinema from May 15th (Fri) to May 21st (Thu).**
Japanese animation is a symbol of Cool Japan. In this third installment, in addition to the 1980s works that have been our focus, we have expanded the scope to include works released in the 2000s, selecting screening works from a framework of about 30 years.
The passion and energy poured in by anime creators, now called 'legends,' in their youth. We hope you can experience their spirit once again in Nagoya, the very center of Japan.
This third time, we will screen a total of 8 works, ranging from 1980s titles like 'Space Runaway Ideon: A Contact / Be Invoked' to 2000s works such as 'Crayon Shin-chan: The Storm Called: The Adult Empire Strikes Back'.
On May 16th (Sat) and 17th (Sun), there will also be special screenings with talk events featuring guests such as director Yoshikazu Yasuhiko and voice actress Mayumi Tanaka, as well as cast and staff from each work!
Furthermore, on the night of May 16th (Sat), we will hold the 'Talk-All-Night About 80s Anime Ep.1' with a lineup of distinguished guests, who will thoroughly discuss its charms from the perspectives of staff, actors, and writers.
Screening tickets will go on sale from 0:00 on April 8th (Wed) (24:00 on the 7th)!
