Higashi Betsuin Terrace Hall is Born Next to Nagoya TV! Higashi Betsuin Hall in Naka-ku, Nagoya Reopens; Opening Performance Set for May 9th with 'Nagoya TV Rakugo: Hosei Tsukitei Rakugo Show'!

With a complete overhaul of sound, lighting, and other equipment, the hall has been reborn as a much more accessible venue, significantly improved for production quality and stage safety.

The inaugural performance at the new hall will be the 'Nagoya TV Rakugo: Hosei Tsukitei Rakugo Show', featuring a spectacular joint performance with special guest Shiraku Tatekawa.

【Overview of the Renewal】

From 'Higashi Betsuin Hall' to 'Higashi Betsuin Terrace Hall.' Three meanings behind the name:

• To illuminate the daily life and future of the region through various events and interactions (Terrace).
• A 'Terrace' where many people from all genres can gather casually.
• 'Tera's' (Temple's), representing the temple hall and utilizing the temple's historical and cultural assets to meet modern needs.

Renovation Highlights:

• The interior around the stage has been completely renewed with a black base.
• Introduction of the latest sound, lighting, and video equipment allows for a wide range of productions.
• New movable seating has been installed. By removing or rearranging chairs, the space can flexibly accommodate not only stage performances and lectures but also exhibitions and trade shows.

• May 9 (Sat): 'Nagoya TV Rakugo: Hosei Tsukitei Rakugo Show with special guest Shiraku Tatekawa' (Opening Performance)
