In addition to presenting the completed calendar to all applicants, we are also preparing a "Secret Prize" as a gift for participants in the campaign (Special Prize, 50 winners selected by lottery). This year's "Secret Prize" has been decided as a "Drawing 3-Piece Set" including upcycled stationery (Vegetable Crayons, Aomori Apple Sketchbook, and Coloring Chiyogami)!

[Secret Prize "Drawing 3-Piece Set" Contents]

  • Vegetable Crayons (5-color set) *

Vegetables and fruits that would otherwise be discarded due to being off-spec are processed into fine powder. These crayons, made from upcycled rice oil and rice wax blended with rice bran, contain about one-third the pigment of regular crayons, making them safe even if accidentally put in the mouth. The gentle colors of vegetables are their charm.

*Precautions for using Vegetable Crayons

"Vegetable Crayons" are not food. There is a risk of choking, so please be careful not to put them in your mouth or swallow them. When small children use them, please do so under the supervision of a guardian. Due to the nature of the product, powder may appear on the crayons or cracks may occur. Please store away from direct sunlight and high temperatures and humidity.

  • Aomori Apple Sketchbook (B4, 20 pages)

This is a recycled paper sketchbook containing 20% pomace from Aomori-grown apple juice. It has a rustic texture subtly tinted with apple color, and the fibers and seed fragments in the paper give it a somewhat nostalgic feel. You can see different expressions with each turn of the page.

  • Coloring Chiyogami (15×15cm, 10 patterns × 2 sheets each)

Chiyogami (decorative paper) featuring vegetables and fruits that are motifs used in the vegetable crayons. You can also enjoy coloring with the vegetable crayons included in the set. Environmentally friendly paper and ink are used.

We empathized with the fact that these items are manufactured through environmentally friendly processes, similar to our Eco-Calendar, and have adopted them as this year's secret prize. We encourage you to use these people- and environment-friendly stationery items to draw with free ideas, just like the illustrations in the Eco-Calendar. You might even get inspiration for next year's catchphrase submission!

What is Nippon Techno's Eco-Calendar?

Nippon Techno's Eco-Calendar is an applicant-participation original calendar where catchphrases on the themes of environment, nature, and eco are solicited from the general public, and professional artists create illustrations for the selected works. Nippon Techno has been producing the Eco-Calendar since 2007 with the desire to "work together with our customers on environmental conservation activities." The completed calendar is presented to everyone who applies. The 2026 edition was distributed widely to 82,000 people, including applicants. The total number of applications was 29,260 works (from 6,656 individuals)! In addition to individuals, we have received many group participations, such as for environmental education in schools and as part of corporate environmental activities.

Also, the illustrations are original works by art director Masaaki Fukushi (since the 2018 edition).
