■ World Overview: What is 'Astronomy Club'?

One afternoon after school at a certain school, a thunderclap connected the world outside the classroom to 'the universe.' 'Astronomy Club' is a game world set in this mysterious classroom where players can summon and collect 'Space Ghosts (Amua)' by catching shooting stars.

We have merged the 'chill' element of waiting for fleeting stars while chatting with friends, with the 'game' element of aiming to complete a collection of all 45 types of characters.

■ 3 Points of Emphasis in 'Astronomy Club'

1. Photograph shooting stars to summon 'Space Ghosts (Amua)'!

A beautiful cosmic space unfolds outside the window. Players use telescopes and cameras to photograph (capture) the occasionally appearing 'shooting stars' and 'planets.' By placing the captured stars into a device called an 'astrolabe,' players can summon 'Amua,' ghosts that travel through space. Amua are cute creatures inspired by animals, with a total of 45 types (5 ranks from normal to secret).

Sometimes, summons may fail, resulting in 'bomb' items that explode... or other unexpected outcomes? Enjoy the mishaps as you aim to complete your encyclopedia.

2. An entrance to the real universe within the world (Cooperation: The Asahi Shimbun Company)

This world not only offers a game experience of space but also provides an opportunity to connect with the 'real universe.' A corner introduces the initiatives of The Asahi Shimbun's Space Department, which has reported on numerous celestial events like meteor showers. Starry sky photographs taken from the summit of Mauna Kea in Hawaii are also displayed, allowing visitors to feel the beauty of the universe as it was actually observed. We hope this content will serve as an entryway to expand interest in the real universe after enjoying the starry sky within VRChat. It can also be enjoyed as a chance to deepen interest in space while conversing with friends and family.

3. Become closer to Amua through 'Club Membership' (Subscription)

This world supports VRChat's creator economy (subscription feature). By becoming a member ('subscribing') to 'Astronomy Club,' you can form deeper bonds with your favorite Amua.

• Partner Function: Amua, which are usually encountered only in the moment, can be summoned anytime, follow you around, or roam freely within the world.

• Naming & Raising: You can name your favorite Amua. As your 'intimacy' increases with time spent together, their appearance will change to become more splendid, such as growing halos and wings on their backs.

Hello! I am BUSSAN, in charge of planning and directing this world.

I have loved space since I was a child, remembering the awe I felt looking up at the 'Leo Meteor Shower.' Space and the starry sky are worlds intertwined with the unknown, and I believe stargazing through a telescope is inherently an exciting experience. The starting point for creating this world was the idea of how to deliver the 'fun of spending time looking at the stars with friends' in a more casual way. Feeling that mere observation was not enough, I designed it so that users can constantly experience 'encounters with the unknown' through characters called Amua. On the other hand, expressing the charm of stargazing in VR was not easy, and we tried various approaches (in fact, there are prototypes of various telescopes placed within the world). To ensure that as many people as possible can enjoy it, we made it playable even with just a Meta Quest headset. Ultimately, I feel we have succeeded in creating something that makes stargazing, which can sometimes feel daunting, very simple and brings unexpected discoveries and fun.
