Murakami Farm Co., Ltd., which holds the No. 1 domestic market share in sprouted vegetables (*1), signed a license agreement with the Taiwanese company Greenvines for the production and sale of sprout products in 2021 and began shipping in 2022. Now, sales of the company's "Broccoli Super Sprouts" (Taiwanese name: 三日苗 超級青花椰苗) for fiscal year 2025 have doubled compared to the previous year, marking a rapid acceleration of our first overseas licensing business. \n*1: Based on the company's own calculations of sales value share for radish sprouts, pea shoots, and sprouts from KSP-POS (Food Supermarket) data (January-December 2025). \n \nSānrìmiáo Chāojí Qīnghuāyēmiáo (Three-Day Sprout Super Broccoli Sprouts)

\nMurakami Farm has systematized the know-how it has cultivated over many years in the sprouted vegetable field—including raw material seed selection, production management, quality evaluation, and marketing—and has provided its latest technology to Greenvines in Taiwan. The growth in Taiwan is driven by rising health awareness and a high level of trust in Japanese brands. \nWhile the rate of dining out in Taiwan has historically been higher than in Japan, the recent increase in dual-income households has further elevated this trend, making insufficient fresh vegetable intake a recognized issue. Similar to Japan, the population is aging, and there is a growing interest in health. In this environment, Broccoli Super Sprouts, which contain a high concentration of the beneficial compound \"sulforaphane,\" are gaining popularity, particularly among health-conscious consumers. Furthermore, trust in the safety, production, and quality control associated with a licensed Japanese brand has fueled demand. The products manufactured in Taiwan, like those in Japan, are produced and shipped under a system where their sulforaphane levels are regularly measured at our \"Sulforaphane Research Institute\" to ensure high concentrations. \nThis initiative is part of our \"overseas licensing business\" to expand Japan-originated knowledge and know-how about sprouted vegetables internationally. Interest in functional sprouted vegetables is also growing in the global market. In the future, we plan to further strengthen our business foundation in Taiwan and expand our overseas licensing business, focusing on the Asian region. By providing the latest plant factory technology, which allows for the year-round production of high-quality products unaffected by environmental changes like weather conditions, we aim to promote health in those regions and earn foreign currency in the expanding global market. \n \n
