The product uses fresh onions grown by MOS's contract farmers on Awaji Island and will be available exclusively at MOS Burger locations in the Kansai, Chugoku, and Shikoku regions (excluding some stores). Now in its 11th year of sales, this product has become a spring staple, with some stores selling out early every year. First launched in the Chugoku and Shikoku regions in 2016, it has been released annually during the onion harvest season, primarily in Kansai stores. It generously uses 'Shin-Tamanegi' (fresh spring onions), which are particularly known for being succulent, tender, and sweet, even when eaten raw. ● Awaji Island Onion Burger Japanese Soy Sauce Flavor (510 yen) A generous portion of fresh onion slices is placed on top of green leaves and a juicy patty, then drizzled with a special onion burger sauce and topped with bonito flakes. The sauce is a soy-based Japanese-style sauce with concentrated apple juice and salt koji powder, offering a refreshing yet rich flavor. The bonito flakes used are 'Kare-bushi,' produced through a painstaking process involving koji mold cultivation over three to four months. This light and refreshing burger allows customers to fully enjoy the flavor of fresh onions available only at this time of year. A cheese version is also available for an additional 40 yen. Note: The product uses 'Calorie Half Mayonnaise Type' dressing.
