We have entered into a strategic business alliance with Wisebeam Law in Taipei, Taiwan, and launched a joint operational site (wisebeam-monolith.tw). We handle increasingly complex cross-border cases between Japan and Taiwan, such as labor legislation, intellectual property protection, due diligence (DD) in M&A, and overseas expansion of creators and VTubers, bidirectionally in Japanese and Chinese.
The 6 newly joined young lawyers are intended to be deployed as immediate assets for meticulous legal research in these cross-border cases and crafting sophisticated contracts to bridge the differences in laws and business customs between the two countries.
2. Support for Developing Corporate AI Internal Regulations and Building Governance
To address practical issues like 'shadow AI', we provide system enhancement support based on three scopes: risk materialization, decision-making process design (development of intermediate layer checklists), and ensuring legal effectiveness. We realize agile governance building through a hybrid system of IT consultants and lawyers.
With the addition of new graduate lawyers, the productivity of this hybrid system will drastically improve, strengthening the foundation to continuously update regulations in line with the rapidly changing regulatory trends such as the European AI Act, Copyright Act, and Personal Information Protection Law.
