Mogic Inc. (Headquarters: Nerima-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Yoichi Yamane; hereinafter 'Mogic') is pleased to announce the release of 'Won-jual Interview,' a casual interview system that utilizes an official character to reduce the psychological burden applicants feel during AI interviews. As a demo trial, we have replaced our casual interviews at Mogic with this system, allowing applicants to chat loosely with our 3D official character, 'Wonjima-san,' to get a feel for the company's atmosphere, followed by an aptitude assessment defined by Mogic. Background: The psychological burden of AI interviews and the need for a casual approach. In recent years, more companies have introduced AI interviews for efficient screening. However, many applicants have expressed feelings of emptiness when talking to a screen alone or fatigue from feeling monitored by AI. We believe it is more important to convey the company's atmosphere rather than giving applicants a mechanical impression, so we implemented this casual atmosphere as a system. Based on the casual interviews Mogic has conducted so far, we have adopted an even more relaxed communication style. About Mogic's official character: Wonjima-san. An official character that embodies Mogic's style of approaching the essence of things in a relaxed manner. Named after the animal 'wombat' and the name of our PR representative, it is called 'Wonjima-san.' It has a gentle personality but is always scared of something and flustered. It loves snacks and often says, 'I want to drown in a sea of chocolate.' Features of this system: Friendliness and unique aptitude assessment. 1. Overwhelming friendliness with a 3D character. The official character, generated with the latest rendering technology, appears in 3D, removing the pressure often associated with AI interviews. 2. Relaxed dialogue mode and reactions. You can choose between text chat mode and voice mode. The AI is programmed with the character's personality, reflecting Wonjima-san's traits. This allows for relaxed communication, revealing the applicant's hidden aptitudes. 3. Aptitude assessment customized for each company. After the interview, the AI analyzes the interaction and provides an assessment based on company-defined criteria. Mogic has set 10 types of aptitudes, such as 'Friendship Aptitude,' 'Snack Aptitude,' and 'Art Aptitude,' and displays the top three that apply. Differences between general AI interviews and this casual interview system: General AI interviews focus on strict evaluation and reducing interviewer workload, while this system focuses on conveying company culture and minimizing post-hiring discomfort. Note: This press release is an April Fool's project, but Mogic truly values 'human-like casual interviews.' In actual interviews, Wonjima-san will not participate, but you can expect a similar level of warmth.
