WIZE Appoints Yutaro Nagumo, Representative of Dawn Labs, Operator of Japan's Largest Solana Validator

WIZE Inc. (formerly Mobcast Holdings, Inc.; Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Koki Yabu; Securities Code: 3664; hereinafter 'the Company') is pleased to announce that it has appointed Mr. Yutaro Nagumo, representative of Dawn Labs, as its Chief Solana Officer (CSO) (*1) to lead the core strategy of its Solana Treasury business.

Background

Solana is being increasingly adopted by financial institutions, primarily in the United States, and its use is expanding in the financial sector, including ETFs and payments. Supported by the recent market recovery, the Solana ecosystem is globally transitioning to a new growth phase.

Meanwhile, in Japan, full-fledged business cases utilizing Solana and the talent to lead them remain limited. We believe that securing specialized personnel will become increasingly important to capture these global growth opportunities domestically.

In this context, the Company has appointed Mr. Nagumo, who possesses advanced technical knowledge in the Solana field and an extensive network with major overseas projects, as Chief Solana Officer (CSO).

We have long-established a partnership with Dawn Labs, represented by Mr. Nagumo, and have jointly promoted the Solana Treasury business, including the operation of the 'WIZE Validator,' fostering a strong relationship of trust. Mr. Nagumo's participation further strengthens this trust.

This appointment will further enhance the promotional structure of our Solana Treasury business in both technical and business development aspects, aiming for an early entry into the world's top 10 in SOL holdings, establishing our position as a leading global Solana treasury company, and expanding revenue opportunities.

About Mr. Yutaro Nagumo

Mr. Nagumo is a young entrepreneur with one of the best track records in the Solana field in Japan. He has built an unparalleled position in the domestic Solana ecosystem in three aspects: technical capabilities, operational performance, and network with overseas projects.

The validator of Dawn Labs, which he represents, boasts the world's largest deposit balance in 'Jupiter Native Stake Lend,' a management service provided by Solana's largest DeFi platform 'Jupiter,' outstripping the second place by about 10 times.

In addition, he is expanding his business in a wide range of fields, such as developing a staking service in collaboration with the major domestic crypto asset exchange OKJ, and has one of the best track records and personal connections in the Japanese Solana ecosystem.

Future Policy

Mr. Nagumo will be deeply involved in formulating the operational policy of this business and will lead its promotion as the core of the operational structure. His participation will bring cutting-edge operational knowledge and an overseas network in the Solana ecosystem to our company, establishing our industry leadership position as an advanced case of this business by a listed Japanese company.

Our Solana Treasury business has two revenue engines: staking rewards expand as our self-held SOL increases, and validator rewards expand as SOL entrusted from external parties increases. Under the enhanced operational structure, we will strive for the sustainable growth of this business and the improvement of our mid- to long-term corporate value by further expanding both indicators, 'WIZE Treasury' and 'WIZE Treasury Core.'
