Osaka City has concluded a naming rights agreement for the "Osaka City Sewerage Science Museum" (Konohana Ward, annual visitors in FY2024: 97,740) with Mizac Co., Ltd. (Osaka City, Representative Director: Takahiro Masaki), which handles the maintenance and management of sewerage infrastructure. The facility's new official name is expected to be "Mizac Sewerage Science Museum OSAKA," marking the first time naming rights have been introduced at the museum. The contract period is 5 years, and the naming rights fee is 2.8 million yen per year (excluding tax).

The science museum is a facility where visitors can learn about the sewerage system and the importance of the water environment through interactive exhibits, attracting a wide range of generations from children to adults.

Since its establishment, Mizac has been a company responsible for the maintenance and management of sewerage facilities, primarily in Osaka City. Regarding this contract, the company's president, Takahiro Masaki, commented, "We hope this will be an opportunity for many people to learn about the role and importance of sewerage."

Osaka City hopes that the introduction of naming rights will lead to improved attractiveness of the facility and promote understanding of the sewerage business through collaboration with private companies.
