Miyata Gakuen will hold its entrance ceremony for the specialized school "International Contribution Professional University," operated by the foundation, on Wednesday, April 8, 2026. At the International Contribution Professional University, 562 students will be welcomed, taking their first step towards their respective dreams.
Various individuals who are involved with and support the students are expected to attend the venue as guests on the day.
Key Points of the "Entrance Ceremony"
### 【All Entrants are International Students (from Nepal, Myanmar, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka)】 They were drawn to the appeal of Japan and enrolled in this university with the aim of working in Japan. At our university, students will learn IT skills required in a global society, as well as manners and the "spirit of hospitality" necessary for the hotel, tourism, and service industries. Furthermore, based on Miyata Gakuen's educational policy, they will also deeply learn traditional Japanese culture and values rooted in Japanese society such as "gratitude" and "respect." This year, 12 students have newly enrolled as third-year transfer students. Graduates of the 4-year course will be awarded the title of "Advanced Specialist," and are expected to excel as professionals with advanced expertise. Also, this year, with the aim of increasing enrollment and achieving a better educational environment, education is being developed with a two-campus system: Ohashi Campus and Tamagawa Campus. Through this, we will nurture individuals who can thrive in their jobs in Japan by valuing tradition and courtesy, and by possessing a spirit of gratitude and respect.
### 【New Students' Vow and Encouragement from Seniors ~First Step Towards the Future~】 At this year's entrance ceremony, three new student representatives (from Nepal, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka) will take the stage to deliver their respective resolutions as the "Pledge of Vows." Additionally, as the student representative, a student from Nepal will give a speech for the "Welcome Remarks." Our university's curriculum is designed with practical content aiming for qualifications such as the Global Human Resources Business Practical Skills Test and Japanese Language Proficiency Test N1 (highest level), leading to significant improvement not only in Japanese proficiency but also in business skills. New students are expected to further enhance their motivation to learn by witnessing the efforts and achievements of their seniors. It is our wish that through their studies at our university, each individual will grow and lead to success in Japan.
### 【High Employment Rate and Promotion of Multicultural Coexistence through Corporate Collaboration】 Our school has continuously worked to strengthen collaboration with local companies. In addition to enhancing support for qualification acquisition, we are also focusing on mastering skills directly applicable to practical work, and furthermore, on education based on traditional Japanese culture, promoting the development of individuals with multifaceted capabilities. As a result of such educational achievements, we have received many voices from companies saying, "We actively want to hire students who have studied at our school." The expectations and demand for the talent nurtured at our school are increasing year by year. Looking ahead to the realization of a multicultural coexistence society unique to Japan, we will continue to fulfill our role as an educational institution contributing to the development of the local community. Furthermore, in April 2025, we established a new department for Japanese students called the "Glocal Business Department." Through the development of individuals who convey the charm of Japan both domestically and internationally, with the theme of inheriting and disseminating traditional culture, we will contribute to the further development of the local community.

About Miyata Gakuen
Since the establishment of the foundation, aiming for a "Glocal School (Educational Philosophy) that Realizes a Multicultural Coexistence Society Based on Japanese Traditional Culture," for over 30 years, we have educated international students in Japanese language, traditional Japanese culture, and customs. Based on this belief, in 1992, we established the Japanese language education institution Nishinihon International Education Academy. In 2012, Miyata Gakuen became a school corporation, and in April 2014, to further realize the internationalization of education, we opened the International Contribution Professional University, a specialized school targeting both Japanese and international students. And in April 2025, we newly established the "Glocal Business Department" for Japanese students, themed on the inheritance and dissemination of traditional culture, aiming even more towards the realization of a multicultural coexistence society.
