Mitsui Fudosan Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President & CEO: Shun Ueda) and Mitsui Fudosan Group's Haimurubushi Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Yaeyama District, Okinawa; President & CEO: Hiroki Sato; General Manager: Naohiro Yamaguchi) announce the opening of eight premium guest rooms, the 'Oceanfront Pool Villas,' on Wednesday, July 15, 2026—the one-year anniversary of the resort's grand reopening on July 15, 2025. These villas represent the culmination of the renovation project at Haimurubushi, Japan's southernmost island beach resort hotel (located in Yaeyama District, Okinawa).
The 'Oceanfront Pool Villas' surrounded by sea and greenery
These villas symbolize Haimurubushi's vision of a stay where 'you are happy doing something, and happy doing nothing.' Designed to offer both breathtaking views of Iriomote Island, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and high privacy, the villas introduce a new resort experience where guests can live in harmony with nature. Guests can wake to birdsong, stroll along the beach, relax in their private pool, or explore the island during the day. At dusk, they can watch the sun set behind Iriomote Island, and at night, gaze at the star-filled sky in Japan's first certified Dark Sky Preserve. Throughout the day, guests will experience Haimurubushi's unique value—happiness in activity and in stillness.
