MISUMI Group Inc. Headquarters (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Shin Shimizu; hereinafter "MISUMI") announced on June 30, 2026, a business alliance with DAIKO XTECH Inc. (Headquarters: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Koichiro Matsuyama; hereinafter "DXT") and TECHNOA Inc. (Headquarters: Gifu City, Gifu Prefecture; President: Koji Yamazaki; hereinafter "TECHNOA"). MISUMI's product database of over 30 million items will be integrated via API with DXT and TECHNOA's production management systems. Through purchasing DX that supports the core business of production material management, a productivity improvement of up to twice the conventional level is expected. This service has been realized as a three-company alliance by a consortium that has joined forces for the first time to innovate traditional procurement and purchasing operations and establish a new industry standard for EC operators handling production materials and production management system providers.

Background of the Consortium

- Tightening of Purchasing Operations and the Limits of "Individual Company DX"

Purchasing operations for production materials are an essential process in manufacturing. However, due to the wide variety of suppliers and items, the technical difficulty of master data maintenance, operational design, and external data integration has been high, hindering DX promotion by individual small and medium-sized enterprises, which are particularly suffering from labor and time shortages.

This is due to the actual usage of production management systems. Production management systems are core systems that manage not only production planning, inventory, and cost control, but also the purchasing of production materials such as machine parts and consumables. However, they have traditionally been used primarily for internal operations. As a result, external orders have often still involved manual work such as email and fax. This has resulted in a vast amount of work, including quotation requests, collection of responses, transcription of part numbers and quantities, and creation of purchase orders. Furthermore, information was repeatedly confirmed and transcribed, leading to frequent "back-and-forth" of information and inefficiency.

- Industry Leaders Join Forces for Double Productivity

DXT and TECHNOA are major industry players with a combined domestic implementation record of approximately 4,700 companies in the production management system field. MISUMI is one of Japan's leading production material platform companies with a product database of over 30 million items, ranging from machine parts to consumables. The three companies, having experienced the challenges of production material purchasing faced by their customers, have joined forces across their respective business domains to innovate traditional processes. By directly connecting the API of MISUMI EC's product database with production management systems, tasks such as quotations, orders, and delivery information acquisition will be automated, significantly reducing the time spent on purchasing operations. As a result, it is expected that the productivity of the purchasing department will be doubled, allowing staff to focus more on core business activities with the time saved.

Model Case for Achieving Up to Double Purchasing Productivity

Features of the New Service

1. Reduced Effort for Quotations, Orders, and Receiving

By integrating the MISUMI product database via API with DXT's "rBOM" and TECHNOA's "TECHS-S NOA," users can refer to the product database within their production management systems without visiting the MISUMI EC site, allowing for smooth checking of prices, delivery times, and discontinued items.

2. Streamlined Sorting Operations

Supports packaging by production order number or unit, contributing to improved operational efficiency in quotations, orders, and receiving.

3. Maintains Traditional Usability

This service will be included as a standard feature of "rBOM" and "TECHS-S NOA." Users of these systems can utilize the new functionality by updating to the latest version of the system, maintaining their existing usage methods. Minimizing new operational burdens and additional effort, and allowing the site to transition smoothly, are also features of this service.

Implementation Plan

As of June 30, 2026, including version upgrades for businesses using DXT and TECHNOA's production management systems, the aim is to introduce the service to over 1,000 new companies in Japan over the next five years.
