Miralita Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Yasuhiro Shigeta), operator of the business investment crowdfunding platform 'Miralita,' has announced the launch of the 'Grid-Scale Battery Storage Development and Sales Fund in Kokura-Kita Ward, Kitakyushu City, Fukuoka Prefecture Phase II' (hereinafter referred to as 'the Fund').
The Fund will begin accepting investments starting July 4 (Saturday).
Focusing on the rapidly growing 'grid-scale battery storage market,' which is in high demand as a key solution for power grid stabilization amid the expansion of renewable energy, this fund targets the development and sales of a battery storage facility in 'Myoken-cho, Kokura-Kita Ward, Kitakyushu City, Fukuoka Prefecture'—a location adjacent to one of Japan’s leading industrial zones.
Investor contributions will be used to secure essential project rights, including 'connection rights to Kyushu Electric Power' and 'surface rights to the land,' as well as for actual expenses such as procurement, installation, and construction of the battery storage system.
The Fund is designed to transfer the completed facility and full set of operational rights in a single transaction to a pre-identified corporate buyer (EXIT), with proceeds from the sale distributed to investors. By securing the exit buyer in advance, the fund eliminates the uncertainty of when a buyer might be found, offering a transparent and predictable investment structure with clear cash flow visibility.
Investment Structure
Investment → Acquisition of rights and grid battery equipment, name transfer, construction → Exit (sale) → Repayment and distribution
