Miraiya Shoten Co., Ltd., an Aeon Group company, will reopen its Toyohashi Minami store on April 17, 2026. The store, located at Aeon Toyohashi Minami Shopping Center 1F in Toyohashi City, Aichi Prefecture, has been renovated to better serve local families and parents. The core of the renewal is the "Miraiya no Mori" children's book section, designed as an "experiential book forest" where parents and children can comfortably choose books. This section features a wide selection of picture books and children's books, as well as related adult books and family-friendly shelves. The store will include a dedicated reading space where visitors can remove their shoes and try out books, and will host picture book reading events. It will also feature corners combining popular children's character books (like Pokémon and Anpanman) with related merchandise (plush toys). Furthermore, the store is introducing "reading shelves" linked with "Yondemy," a reading education service being piloted in Toyohashi public elementary schools. These shelves will organize books based on "Yondemy Level," a numerical difficulty rating for children's books, to help children select appropriate reading materials and foster continuous reading habits. Miraiya Shoten Toyohashi Minami store aims to be a community-rooted bookstore where children can expand their world through books and cultivate rich minds, centered around "Miraiya no Mori." The company, established on December 24, 1985, with 100 million JPY capital (100% owned by Aeon Co., Ltd.), is headquartered in Chiba City, Chiba Prefecture, and operates in book/magazine sales, stationery/goods sales, and co-working space management.
