Oita Prefecture, Indeed Recruit Partners, and Pasona JOB HUB Sign Collaboration Agreement (MOU)

Mirai Works Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO, Shoji Okamoto; hereinafter "the Company") announces that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Oita Prefecture (Governor: Juro Sato), Indeed Recruit Partners Co., Ltd. (Triangle Service Business) (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO, Ken Asano), and Pasona JOB HUB Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO, Motoyoshi Takagi). The signing ceremony will be held on June 24 (Wednesday) at the Oita Prefectural Government Office. Under this agreement, the Company will closely collaborate with Oita Prefecture and the two partner companies, leveraging their platforms and expertise to match regional enterprises with urban professional talent. This initiative aims to expand the use of side-job and dual-career professionals in Oita Prefecture, revitalize the local economy, and promote diverse and flexible workstyles.

## Background and Regional Challenges

Rapid changes in the business environment and the advancement of digital transformation (DX) have led to increasingly diverse and complex management challenges for regional small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). However, it remains difficult for regional companies to independently recruit and secure professionals with specialized skills, highlighting the need for flexible systems to integrate expert talent.

### Promotion of Side-Job and Dual-Career Talent Utilization in Oita Prefecture

Oita Prefecture aims to achieve growth for local companies through the acceptance of side-job and dual-career professionals and is actively promoting related initiatives. In fiscal year 2024, the Company was commissioned by the Oita Industrial Human Resources Center to conduct the "Side-Job and Dual-Career Talent Matching Exchange Program" for local businesses, successfully facilitating multiple matches through online exchange events. (*1) This track record, along with the Company’s commitment to regional revitalization, has led to the signing of this MOU in collaboration with two other companies with proven success in the prefecture.

Under this agreement, the Company will leverage its expertise from previous regional revitalization projects to strongly support the matching of Oita-based enterprises with side-job and dual-career professionals through the following strengths:

### End-to-End “Hands-On Support System” from Talent Recruitment to Company Matching

The Company goes beyond simply providing a platform by offering comprehensive support—from identifying business challenges and crafting compelling job postings to facilitating matches. This enables even companies new to utilizing external talent to begin projects with confidence.

### Over 40,000 Registered Professional Talent Focused on Regional Contribution

The Company operates the side-job matching service "Skill Shift" (approximately 20,000 members) and the regional relocation and side-job platform "Glocal Mission Jobs (GMJ)" (approximately 22,000 members), totaling over 40,000 registered professionals seeking side jobs or relocation to regional areas. The Company efficiently connects businesses with skilled professionals who possess both expertise and strong motivation.

## Specific Initiatives Under the MOU: “Summit” and “Matching Exchange Events”

To enhance awareness and trust in side-job and dual-career utilization among local companies, and to support individual career development, hybrid-format summits and matching exchange events will be sequentially launched.

### ① Summit Event

A hybrid summit, combining online and in-person participation, will be hosted by Oita Prefecture. The event will bring together the three MOU signatory companies, local enterprises, and other stakeholders to increase awareness and credibility of side-job and dual-career professional utilization and to energize the community.

### ② Online Matching Exchange Events (Scheduled September–November, 3 events total)

Each of the three MOU signatory companies will host one online event to facilitate matching between side-job/dual-career professionals and regional enterprises.

## Future Outlook from the Agreement

Through this agreement, the Company will introduce specialized expertise in DX advancement, new product development, marketing, and operational improvements to local enterprises, supporting the resolution of management challenges and the creation of sustainable innovation. This effort will contribute to revitalizing the regional economy, enabling the growth of local businesses, and promoting talent circulation and expanding “related populations” from urban to regional areas.
