In the first part, we announced an unprecedented initiative where rapper XBS (Norihiro Fukami) from the leading Japanese hip-hop group NITRO MICROPHONE UNDERGROUND would be involved as a nursery principal.

■ The New Role of a Rapper Principal

In this initiative, the 'Rapper Principal' will not engage in childcare duties based on a nursery teacher qualification and will not be directly involved in the children's care.

He will take on the role of conveying the daily thoughts from the childcare field, the reality of parenting, and social issues to society through music and culture, increasing the number of people involved.

He is a presence that communicates the value of childcare to the outside from a position separate from childcare work.

Initially, XBS was scheduled to be appointed as the facility director. However, after repeated discussions with the on-site staff, we revised the plan to a phased role design to achieve a more sustainable and high-quality system.

As a result, we will operate with a division of roles:

・'Facility Director' responsible for childcare expertise

・'Promotion Principal (Rapper Principal)' responsible for communication to society

Midwife Mana Inose has been appointed as the Facility Director, establishing an on-site system based on expertise.

The final responsibility for childcare operations and safety management at our nursery lies with the Facility Director.

Furthermore, XBS will accumulate experience and learning on-site while fulfilling his role as the Rapper Principal for communication.

In the future, we envision him taking on the role of Facility Director after gaining a deep understanding of childcare and practical experience, aiming for a gradual transition to a responsible position.

This is not just for publicity, but a commitment based on seriously engaging with the childcare field and taking on a responsible position in the long term.

What I have felt while witnessing the moment of birth is the reality that birth is not the goal, and many people become isolated during the subsequent child-rearing.

I have seen many times in the field people reaching their mental and physical limits in such situations.

That is why I want this nursery to be not just a place to leave children, but a place where mothers can feel at ease and rely on us.

As such a place, we will walk alongside the families.

I am not a nursery teacher myself, but there is still a role I can play.
