Nick Bland

Born in 1973 in Yarra Valley, Victoria, Australia.

Began working at a bookstore, which inspired him to become a picture book author. Debuted in 2005.

Won the 2012 Children's Book of the Year Award (Australia) for 'I Love Hugs' (Iwasaki Shoten). Awarded the 2013 Australian Book Industry Award (ABIA) for 'The Very Cranky Bear' (Kureyon House).

Miki Ishida

Born in Kanagawa Prefecture in 1970. Began translating British literature as a hobby while studying Japanese literature at university.

After graduation, worked at a publishing house, gaining experience in editing children's books and international picture books before becoming a full-time translator.

The Kodomo no Hon Editorial Department has published a wide range of books, including 'Mom, Do You Know?' (over 1.5 million copies sold worldwide) and award-nominated titles such as 'Hello, Bento Box!' and 'The Cat Who Pulls Strings', featured in the Miraiya Picture Book Awards.
