To commemorate the release of the film '4 Outs – Play Ball Again,' based on the true story of a physically disabled baseball team, we are hosting the 'Uminomori Baseball Festa – Let’s Enjoy Sports Together!'
Following the World Baseball Classic (WBC) held in March this year, the 'World Dream Baseball' – also known as the 'other WBC' – a global tournament for physically disabled baseball players, will be held in Japan this November. Amid growing interest in baseball, this event aims to be enjoyable for many children, regardless of disability.
The venue is the Uminomori Aquatics Stadium, established for the Tokyo 2020 Games and used for canoe and rowing events during the Olympics and Paralympics. It has since hosted numerous sports events and will transform into a space where sports and entertainment converge.
On the day, we will present a special video screening ahead of the film’s release, along with exclusive programs such as a baseball clinic led by Hirokazu Ibata, former manager of the WBC Japan national team, and Alex Ramirez, member of the Japanese Professional Baseball Hall of Fame. Applications open today – we encourage your participation!
Additionally, we will offer fun, physical attractions and experiential content to enjoy the appeal of para sports, all without prior registration. We look forward to welcoming you!
Further details about the event will be announced later.
