The Tokyo Metropolitan Government, in its updated startup strategy "Global Innovation Strategy 2.0 STARTUP & SCALEUP" in November 2025, has positioned "Global x Scale-up" as a new pillar of its initiatives, aiming to promote support for companies striving for dramatic global growth.

Under this strategy, "SusHi Tech Global" provides focused support to promising startups alongside a diverse range of frontline supporters, with 77 companies having participated to date.

We are pleased to announce that 17 companies have been selected for the 4th round, bringing the total number of participating companies to 94. The Tokyo Metropolitan Government will continue to enhance its support for the global growth of participating companies.

1. About "SusHi Tech Global"

Promising startups with excellent technology are selected as "SusHi Tech Global Startups," and in cooperation and collaboration with various supporters, programs tailored to their challenges are implemented for global growth, covering areas such as human resources, organizational structure, business, and capital strategy.

From among the "SusHi Tech Global Startups," initiatives leading to global growth are solicited and implemented as the "Growth Acceleration Program," providing financial support of up to 200 million yen per company along with hands-on support.

Furthermore, a new "Resilience Enhancement Program for Resources and Energy, etc." has been established to promote the transition of resource and energy structures towards a society not solely reliant on petroleum, offering financial support of up to 200 million yen per initiative and hands-on assistance.

From startups that have completed the Growth Acceleration Program or the Resilience Enhancement Program for Resources and Energy, etc., companies with the potential for further breakthroughs will be selected to receive the "Global x Scale-up Program," which includes financial support of up to 1 billion yen.
